About us

Motorest na Oldřichovci underwent major renovation in 2017. It sits on the main stretch of the E-55 Prague-Tábor-Vienna road in the heart of “Czech Siberia”. Stylish facility offering accommodation and traditional Czech cuisine. The restaurant seats 80, with outdoor seating (including grill) for 40. Private relaxation zone with a Finnish sauna and whirlpool also available.

A rugged region with heights of over 700 m above sea level. The climate here gives the region longer, harsher winters than other inland areas. The beautiful hills, forests, ponds, meadows, pastures and fields are the perfect surroundings for anyone who enjoys nature. Hiking trails crisscross the countryside, leading to attractions such as a chateau, mountain with a lookout tower, and castle ruins.

The area is also perfect for mushroom collecting, fishing and – in winter – skiing. The Monínec Ski Resort is available for downhill skiing and cross-country trails are laid out in the nearby meadows.

Czech Siberia takes its name from the harsh climate in the area. The Oldřichov Lake (Oldřichovské jezero) is just half a kilometre from the Roadhouse.
